Cedar Point extends season schedule

SANDUSKY — When Cedar Point released its 2024 schedule, the last day of operation was supposed to be October 27. Obviously, for those dedicated to Halloween and the infamous HalloWeekends experience at the park, this was a tad disappointing to be "done" with the season before Halloween even materialized. Given Halloween this year is on Thursday, it did make sense for the park to shut down the weekend prior, despite being open every other Thursday during HalloWeekends. Imagine our surprise this week when Cedar Point updated the calendar to now be open the Friday and Saturday after Halloween. Guests will now have one last opportunity to experience the park for the 2024 season on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2. Per Cedar Point's spokesperson, "Given the popularity of our HalloWeekends event, along with its proximity to Halloween, we've decided to extend the event by adding November 1st and 2nd. All HalloWeekends offerings are scheduled to be available both days." 2025 season passes For guests who want to get in on the action for the 2025 season, passes are now on sale, which includes the $99 gold pass. Adrenaline junkies who purchase next year's pass also get access to Cedar Point for the remainder of this year, including HalloWeekends. Gold passes get access to free parking and admission to Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores. For guests having a desire to visit some of the other parks owned by parent company Six Flags, it also offers an All-Park Passport upgrade for $85 when adding to a gold pass. This gets guests into parks like Kings Island near Cincinnati or even Canada's Wonderland near Toronto. As a bonus now that the merger with Six Flags is complete, the company announced that All-Park Passport guests will also get free parking and admission to legacy Six Flags parks starting Jan. 6, 2025. That means a 2025 All-Park Passport unlocks the potential to visit 27 amusement parks, 15 water parks and nine resort properties across 17 states in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
