PREP ROUNDUP: Danbury wins Lake invite

WOODVILLE — Danbury's girls golf team edged Margaretta by two strokes — 381 to 383 — to win the Lake Invitational on Monday at Hidden Hills Golf Club. Danbury's Katelynne Bergman led the Lakers with a 91 while teammate Ashley Lewis carded a 92. Miranda Evans finished with a 98 for the Lakers and Astrid Haublaub had a career-low score of 100. For Margaretta, Ellyse Schaefer led the way with a 92. Erica Miller added a 93, Ellaynah Schaefer a 98 and Grace Paseka carded a 100. Otsego finished third at 385, followed by Genoa (403), Clyde (409) and Eastwood (438). Otsego's Lizzy Budge and Carley Etchie led all individuals with 85s. Clyde's Samantha Young finished third with an 89. Also scoring for the Fliers: Ella Howey (104), Sienna Turner (105) and Abbie Rogish (106). Bellevue 193, Hopewell-Loudon 207 FOSTORIA — Tessa Blankenship shot a 47 to lead Bellevue past Hopewell-Loudon at Loudon Meadows Golf Club. Four other Bellevue golfers broke 50: Magdalynn Heuring (48), Lauren Fleming (49), Addison Miller (49) and Stepheni Hammer (49). Edison 230, St. Paul 250 NORWALK — Annabelle Seville shot a 40 to lead the Chargers past St. Paul at Eagle Creek. Leah Sharp (50), Ella Rogers (68) and Lilly Davis (72) rounded out Edison's scorecard. Aubrey Dilger led St. Paul with a 53. Sam Gocsik shot a 54, Ava Englert had a 71 and Alia Bogard finished with a 72. Norwalk 210, Vermilion 224 VERMILION — Kilee Duncan led Norwalk to victory with a 40 that included an eagle and a birdie. Evelyn Welschenburg added a 51 for the Truckers. Allison Traut (58) and Lauren Young (59) led the Sailors.
