Here comes Arts in the Park

PORT CLINTON — Get ready for the return of Arts in the Park. The art festival will take place beginning at 10 a.m. on Aug. 3-4 at Lakeview Park, 1100 E. Perry St., in Port Clinton. The event goes to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 and 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4. Put on by the Port Clinton Artists' Club, admission is free to the public. People can expect more than 100 arts and crafts vendors, including 25 new vendors for this year's lineup. There will also be a make-and-take event for children who want to make their own arts and crafts at the festival. Among some other notable attractions include several food vendors along with a fundraiser raffle. In its 66th year, club members expect a large crowd and welcome the public to attend. They also thanked the artists, crafters and dedicated volunteers for ensuring its success for six-plus decades. This festival helps club members fulfill the group's overall mission of "promoting the arts within the community through events, workshops and educational programs," according to an organizational statement. "The annual Arts in the Park festival is a highlight of the club's activities, showcasing a wide range of artistic talents and fostering a love for the arts in all ages."
