90s kids have reason to celebrate

SANDUSKY — Are you a 1990s kid who grew up listening to legendary music from Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys or Green Day? Just when we thought the stage shows could not get much better, after coming off last season's presentation of "Come See About Me" in Cedar Point's Jack Aldrich Theatre, this year's presentation of "Class of '99" blows the roof off the place. The show builds around a high school setting similar to the "Saved By The Bell," an iconic television series from the early 1990s. "Class of '99" takes place at Lakeside High and follows characters vying for the school year's leadership award. The show is packed full of a fantastic array of 1990s music that is guaranteed to have at least one song to make you tap your feet and smile. Guests will for sure feel that nostalgic vibe coming back reminiscing about their times roaming the high school halls. As a fellow 90s kid, this show exceeded expectations — and, in my opinion, the best show of the year at Cedar Point. You might see some recognizable cast in the production from previous stage productions, like "Wake the Dead" during HalloWeekends. Plus make sure to stick around for the end, as the geeky character "Shreik" pulls out a guitar and does a great performance to close out the show. It's something unpredictable, But in the end, it's right, I hope you had the time of your life.
