Boutique opens in Marblehead

MARBLEHEAD — After years of struggles working in joyless jobs, a new business owner finally found a profession that matches her passion. Since moving to the U.S., Audrone "Audi" Ciraite has done a lot in terms of employment: worked in a bar, sold cars, consulted with many businesses, among much more. While each differed in nature, she found a common theme. "I hated every single job that I had," Ciraite said. So in November, Ciraite began Studio A, an online boutique. The "A" in Studio A is a nod to Ciraite's first name. "I wanted to have something on the side from my actual job," said Ciraite, who simultaneously juggled consulting duties. "Something that I would actually enjoy doing." Upon finishing her website, more recently, Ciraite learned of an open property at 110 W. Main Street in Marblehead. The building is across from Rocky Point Winery. "I was like 'Yes, I'm going full in, I'm quitting my job, and I'm doing this for sure,'" Ciraite said. After weeks of planning, painting and decorating, Studio A Boutique hosted its grand opening on June 1. With a European influence, the boutique's selection — catering to both locals and tourists — includes jewelry, sweaters, semi-formal dresses and women's dress pants. Purses and sunglasses will be added to the shelves soon. "I believe that everyone deserves to look and feel their best," she said. Ciraite noted her store fills a void "because, in this area, you can get something that is more dressy, and you don't have to leave town." When it comes to her selection of items, Ciraite only brings in items that she would wear. "That's how it started. it was an idea to have a place for myself to shop," Ciraite said. Visit studioa-shop.com for more information. Opportunity in America Originally from Lithuania, Ciraite came to the U.S. as a college student on a visa. She worked at a local bar and fell in love with the area. "We had a great summer and then (a friend and I) went traveling for a month," Ciraite said. "I just really enjoyed it." Ciraite moved to the U.S. immediately after graduating from college. After years of working for others, Ciraite is ready to be her own businesswoman. "I'm going to try doing this and see if I'm not going to hate working for myself and see if there's anybody else who is going to like what I like," Ciraite said. She continued, "I'm just going to go full in, and I'm going to see what happens. I'm 27 years old and the time to risk it is right now."
