BONES — This big handsome man is a 2-year-old male with a gentle soul and a big heart. He adores the other cats, and he always knows when a cat needs a little extra attention and love. He loves spending time with people and cats. He is so good at reading feelings, and he will be the first one to make you feel better during a rough day. Bones is gentle, social and loves to snuggle. If you're really lucky, he will kiss you, too. Bones would do great in a home with other cats; he especially loves the shy ones. LORETTE — We know you've probably seen her before, but Miss Lorette is still waiting. She is a 2-year-old female calico, and she is miss independent. We have recently learned Lorette is quite the lap cat, but you have to be patient and sit down with her. She will crawl right up. Lorette doesn't love to be picked up, but if you allow her, she will curl right into your lap. She is a laid-back girl who loves her cozy pink bed, stretching out in the sunbeams and exploring. She is low maintenance and with a comfy bed and cheek scratches she will be your best friend. COBALT — This little fellow is a 12-week-old male tabby kitten. When he first arrived he was a bit spooked but after some time with loving volunteers, he has quickly warmed up and is learning how to be the sweetest cat he can be. He has typical kitten energy but he is quite the lover if you scoop him up and hold him. He loves other kittens, feather toys and newly discovered his love for people. C&C — A staff favorite around here, this big man is C&C, short for cookies and cream. He is a 3-year-old male who is affectionate, laid back and gentle. He is a chill guy who loves people, and we have no idea why he hasn't had any interest. This big guy is a lover, and he will be your best friend if you give him the chance. He wants so badly to be loved, at least come and meet him. He loves catnip, humans of all ages and big shoeboxes to play in. THEODORE — This cutie is a 15-week-old male kitten, and he is a goofy boy. He loves to chase stuffed mice, play with other kittens his age and explore the big, tall cat trees. Theo is used to being the little brother so he would make a great addition to an active family that already has cats. He does great with kids, cats and dogs. Theo has typical kitten energy and will need an active family to run out his energy. The Humane Society, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, offers animals for adoption. The shelter is open by appointment six days a week, Monday through Saturday, so please call ahead. Normal adoption fees are: Cats under one year old and younger, $100, cats over a year old, $80; adoption fees for dogs/puppies vary. The fees include spaying/neutering, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm/FeLV negative and flea treated. For information call 419-626-6220.
