1990 football team headlines 2024 Sandusky Hall of Fame class

SANDUSKY — Sandusky High School inducted its 2024 athletic hall of fame class on Saturday. Headlining the class was the 1990 Blue Streaks football team, which set a school record with 12 wins. The Streaks, coached by Larry Cook, advanced to the Division I state semifinals. The 1959 and 1960 swimming freestyle relay team, which made the state finals each year, also was inducted. Other athletes inducted were Jim Fantozz, Doresha Green, Kenya Graves Wagner and Bruce Parker. Fantozz (class of 1973) lettered four years in track & field and one year in football. Graves Wagner (2000) won 10 varsity letters and excelled in volleyball, basketball and track & field. Green (2014) was a soccer, basketball and track standout who went on to set records at Bowling Green State University. Parker (2008) was one of three Blue Streaks to be named All-Ohio twice in football. He holds Sandusky's single-season and career quarterback sacks record. In addition to the athletes joining the hall of fame, Dennis Mateyka will be inducted as a Mylander-Hartung Coach and Community Member. With the new class, the hall of fame numbers 187 athletes, 21 teams, 31 community members and 15 school officials.
