SANDUSKY — The Ohio group famous for their eerie soundtracks played at haunted attractions around the world announced on Tuesday it will not be returning to Cedar Point for the 2024 HalloWeekends season. Many of you have been asking if we'll be back at Cedar Point this year. Unfortunately we will not be gracing those stages this season. We'll miss seeing you but sincerely hope to return to the shores of Lake Erie in the future. Each year, the syndicate crafts a show highlighting its music and telling a story that guests emphatically line up to see each year. The show first took place in the former Good Time Theatre and later moved into the Jack Aldrich Theater at the front of the park. For the 2023 HalloWeekends season, Cedar Point reimagined the stage show on Celebration Plaza, making it the first time the nightly show would be performed outside. This presents a huge opportunity for Midnight Syndicate, giving other amusement parks that celebrate Halloween events the chance to put them under contract. The duo is known for heading down to Universal Studios to do meet-and-greets and sells custom records created just for that park. As Cedar Fair continues to gut live entertainment and minimize the broader appeal of their parks, this could likely come back to haunt them should another park decide they want to add Midnight Syndicate to their venue.
