Author launches website

FREMONT — A published author recently launched a website to expand her brand while empowering women. Latoya Johnson, a Fremont resident who's published four books, encourages people to check out toyasjournals.com. Her novels are available on the website as well as Amazon. "Toya's Journals was created to help empower women," said Johnson, a 1998 Fremont Ross High School graduate. "We, as women, need to encourage each other and help each other in life." Johnson, who specializes in the drama genre, created a series of seven journals under the title of "A Blessed Collection" for people to view online. "When you're feeling some type of way, good or bad, my journals are a comfort," Johnson said. "All seven journals are different, and positivity is what my 'blessed collection' is all about." Additionally, Johnson created a separate entry, specifically written for young girls, titled "Beautifully Made." Each entry, however, aims to build up confidence in women. "Some are simple," said Johnson, noting they contain "positive quotes that will keep you uplifted (while) getting to know your true self. A woman should always have confidence." Johnson underscored how, "Women of all ages, races and cultures will benefit from the writing in my journals. Husbands and boyfriends will benefit in their relationships because a journal can be a woman's therapy. This will help calm us down, help your confidence, tell our secrets to and handle the fruition that comes with it."
