Magruder wins excellence award

PORT CLINTON — Magruder Hospital recently announced the Magruder Medical Group received a 2023 Human Experience Guardian of Excellence Award presented by Press Ganey. Press Ganey is regarded as a global leader in health care experience solutions and services. This award is part of Press Ganey's annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country. It greatly takes into account performance in the category of patient experience. Receiving this award places Magruder Medical Group in the top 5% of health care providers nationally in delivering patient experiences over the last year. "Magruder providers and staff work hard to make sure patients can get in to see the providers as quickly as possible," according to a hospital statement. "They also make themselves available to answer questions and help with any referrals for testing and follow-up. Lunch and learn Magruder Hospital will host a lunch and learn event at noon on Monday, April 15 within the hospital's conference center, 615 Fulton St., Port Clinton. Tracy Stadler, a registered dietician, will present a program, Myth Busting Diabetes. Participants will learn what diabetes is and isn't. She will discuss pre-diabetes, diabetes testing, nutrition, insulin pumps and more. Job fair Magruder will host a job fair in the hospital conference center from 9-11 a.m. and from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 from its conference center. Participants for this event can enter through the hospital's front main entrance. There will be on-the-spot interviews for a variety of clinical and non-clinical positions.
