Area's new Starbucks opens

PERKINS TWP. — Nearly two years after first being announced, the area's newest Starbucks opened. On Monday, without much fanfare, the multinational coffee corporation debuted its latest location at Milan Road (U.S. 250) and East Perkins Avenue near Michaels and Goodwill Sandusky. Open 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, this Starbucks: • Offers drive-thru and walk-up services; The general public can't walk inside this Starbucks like at other locations. • Provides nearly a full menu, which includes drinks, breakfast, lunch and snack items; Some options either aren't or won't be available. In May 2022, Perkins Township trustees approved plans to make way for a new Starbucks. Originally set to open in late 2022, various setbacks delayed construction activities. This Starbucks won't replace any of the existing Sandusky-area locations, including farther down on Milan Road by Meijer or others operating within another business, like at Cedar Point, Kalahari Resorts, Kroger and Target.
