Dr. Brian Wilbert will officiate on this 20th Sunday after Pentecost. Coffee and fellowship will follow the service in Benedict Chapel, adjacent to the church. The Scripture readings for this Sunday are Isaiah 25: 1-9; Psalm 23; Philippians 4: 1-9; and Matthew 22: 1-14. These readings remind us that we receive God's love and are required by God to give that gift of love to others. We are not to be oppressive, not to judge, not to reject anyone, especially the pool, disenfranchised, marginalized, to find ways to lift others up, the include them — or, at the very least, to make the offer.
