List: 2023 Halloween events, trick-or-treat times

Here is a list of the area's community Halloween celebrations and trick-or-treat times that have been publicized thus far. Many of these family-friendly events are free. Check with each community or organization hosting this event for more details. Community Halloween events Milan • 4 p.m. Sunday on Village Square— Halloween parade The parade route will begin at the Village Square and end at Oak Street near the elementary school. Children wanting to participate can gather on the north end of the square and will be the last group of the parade. Trick-or-treat throughout the village will commence immediately following the parade, ending at 6 p.m. Norwalk • 2 p.m. Saturday on Main Street — Halloween and a Pet-n-Pup Parade Dress up alone or with your pets as we parade down Main Street. Costume judging will take place at Main Street School prior to the start of the parade. Winners will be announced at the end of the parade. Merchant trick-or-treat directly following the parade. • 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at Firelands Chevy Buick, 300 Milan Ave., Norwalk — Trunk-or-Treat Businesses and community members who would like to decorate a trunk and pass out candy, email tgarbo@firelandsautogroup.com by Monday. Sandusky • 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Satuday — Last Sandusky Farmers Market of the season As part of the festivities, there will be a pet costume contest. • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday — Downtown Trick-or-Treat Participating downtown merchants will have a bright green and orange flier in their storefronts. Additionally, there will be a: — Pumpkin drop at noon; The 100 block of Columbus Ave. will be closed. The recreation department is accepting pumpkins to be dropped. — Family costume contest on the Goodtime I; The boat leaves at 1 p.m., weather permitting. This will be a cruise on Sandusky Bay for families. — Matinee showing of "Hocus Pocus" at 3 p.m. on Jackson Street Pier.
