SANDUSKY — Now located inside the Cedar Point Sports Center in Sandusky is a 1,000-square-foot area dedicated to those who like playing competitive games. While the Cedar Point E-Sports facility area is within Cedar Point's realm of properties and entertainment, the facility is actually operated by North Coast Entertainment, a video gaming organization providing players a state-of-the-art facility that organizes competitive events. Guests wishing to play at the facility can sign up for hourly play, camps, clinics and leagues. The facility is outfitted with custom-built, top-of-the-line personal computer systems with high-level hardware. Some systems are also set on PlayStation 5 systems. The 32 stations offer a variety of competitive games including "Fortnite," "Valorant," "League of Legends," "Rocket League," "Apex Legends," "Counter-Strike 2," "Teamfight Tactics," "Hearthstone," "NBA 2k24" and "Overwatch 2" with more to come. Each station is also outfitted with custom cushioned chairs. Hourly rental rates start at $12 per hour on weekdays and $15 per hour on weekends. Talking with several players this week at the facility, they all said this is the nicest gaming facility they have ever played, offering a comfortable setting with very powerful machines that have yet to be seen in the industry.
