It's time to check out Midnight Syndicate

SANDUSKY — To know Midnight Syndicate is to know of the intimate shows performed at Cedar Point during HalloWeekends. For this year's event, the live entertainment performance takes on a new stage that breaks conformity for what guests have come to experience in years prior. Midnight Syndicate, known for incredible soundtracks played at haunt events around the world, has been performing live stage shows at Cedar Point since 2014. Each year, the syndicate crafts a show highlighting its music and telling a story that guests emphatically line up to see each year. The show first took place in the former Good Time Theatre and later moved into the Jack Aldrich Theater at the front of the park. When it was discovered the 2023 HalloWeekends show would be moved to the Celebration Plaza Stage, outside the Iron Dragon queue, many people began to have doubts. Would guests be able to connect with the show the same way they could with those performed at an intimate small stage? Would the same elaborate storytelling be able to take place that ties into the orchestrated musical performances? Late this summer, Midnight Syndicate rolled out a new album, "The Brimstone Club," which was inspired by the Parisian Cabaret de L'Enfer, a 19th-century hell-themed cabaret, which the new stage show attempts to recreate. Once the background of the album and the related live stage show performance were tied together, it began to make sense why a larger stage could help tell the story of the macabre. As the duo of Midnight Syndicate took the stage, and the emcee began to usher guests into the exclusive club for amazing acts, it began to become clear why Celebration Plaza was a great venue to perform the acts. Echoes from the Brimstone Club brought in specialty acts from Haut-Vol, a collection of cirque-style performers. Guests will see everything from hair dangling, a sword swallower, acrobats and one of Midnight Syndicate's own creepy characters, Mr. Jingles. After seeing the show, many instantly fell in love with "The Brimstone Club" performances and how it was all tied together with the incredible new soundtrack. The new live stage show takes advantage of the space that just could not be performed within the small setting of previous stage venues. While there are always concerns that weather could impact the ability of the Echoes from the Brimstone Club to perform, the outdoor venue gives the group the chance to connect with an audience that may not have come to the previous theatre performances. Echoes from the Brimstone Club takes place, weather dependent, at 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays during HalloWeekends.
