Woman named to 40-under-40 list

NORWALK — Ashley Ballah was recently named on Healthcare Innovation's 40 Under 40 Awards list. This award list recognizes young individuals from across the country in the health care industry that exhibit extraordinary characteristics in their organizations. "I am humbled to be chosen for this honor by Healthcare Innovation," Ballah said. "It is a privilege to be recognized among this remarkable group of leaders in health care. I am thankful to work for an organization where I can make a difference." Ballah was nominated for her numerous accomplishments and measured success as the director of North Central Emergency Medical Services, a nonprofit ambulance company owned and operated by Fisher-Titus Affiliated Services. Under her leadership, North Central: • Improved dispatching processes and efficiencies • Increased staffing • Boosted employee morale and patient experiences • Secured funding for a Community Paramedicine Rural Pilot Program, reducing 911 calls and improving health careoutcomes • Tackled paramedic turnover by implementing scholarships and incentive programs "Ballah's commitment to providing high-quality health care in north-central Ohio is evident in her initiatives, such as structured onboarding processes, advocating for wage increases, fostering partnerships, and actively seeking funding opportunities for improvements," according to an organizational statement. "Ashley is invaluable to the organization with a track record of success in her time as director of North Central EMS," said Matt Mattner, chief operations officer at Fisher-Titus. "I am happy that we were able to promote her to senior director of ancillary services at Fisher-Titus Medical Center." In her new position, Ballah oversees pharmacy, imaging and laboratory services for Fisher-Titus Health, demonstrating her dedication to Fisher-Titus and the people in the communities served.
