Report: Man fraudulently spent more than $3,800

PERKINS TWP. — Police arrested a Clyde man who allegedly used a woman's credit card to make more than $2,000 in fraudulent purchases.Raymond Willis, 37, of East Township Road 179, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of forgery and misuse of a credit card, which are all fifth-degree felonies.A woman told Perkins police Willis worked on her rental properties. She said she noticed on her credit card bill that someone made purchases totaling about $950 for gift cards, according to a July 2 Perkins police report.Police viewed security video from a Fremont home improvement store that allegedly showed a man, who appeared to be Willis, making the purchases. The woman later found more fraudulent charges on her credit card totaling almost $3,900, and Willis allegedly signed his name on the transactions. Law enforcement filed warrants for Willis, and Clyde police arrested him Wednesday.
