A magic fundraiser

MIDDLE BASS ISLAND — People can enjoy a day of history while enjoying local wines at a fundraiser this weekend. From 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, the Ohio State Parks Foundation's "Magic of Middle Bass" fundraiser will be hosted at Lonz Winery grounds in Middle Bass Island State Park. The event offers a view of the island's history and future, along with a look back into early Ohio wine pioneer George Lonz and his plans for the Lonz Mansion renovation. The upcoming event will also include insightful conservations led by local experts, accompanied by wines of the region, hors d'oeuvres and live music. Guests attending this event are encouraged to wear their most fashionable hat or accessory. Proceeds generated from this event will be donated to Middle Bass Island State Park and the Ohio State Parks Foundation. Tickets are limited and pre-registration is required.
