Fisher-Titus named top community hospital

NORWALK — Becker's Hospital Review recently named Fisher-Titus as one of the top community hospitals in the country for 2023. Becker's classifies itself as a leading hospital magazine for hospital business news and analysis for hospital and health care system executives. Fisher-Titus represents one of 153 hospitals nationwide and one of eight in Ohio to obtain this distinction. Dr. Brent Burkey, the president and CEO of Norwalk-headquartered Fisher-Titus, called it an honor. "Our staff works hard to provide high-quality care and improve the health care experience for our rural community," Burkey said. "We are proud to be named alongside some exceptional facilities across the country also recognized in this year's review." Becker's annually identifies and compiles a list of hospitals to be recognized for exhibiting exceptional care in their local communities. To compile this list, Becker's Hospital Review uses outside rankings and ratings organizations, such as U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, The Leapfrog Group and the Chartis Center for Rural Health.
