Zari's sets up in downtown Sandusky

SANDUSKY — Sharece Clinton shares a slogan anytime someone walks through her company's door. "From the top of your head to the bottom of your feet, there's a little something in here for everybody," Clinton said. "This store is a vibe." Clinton, the owner of Zari's Beauty Supply since it opened in 2017, recently relocated her shop to 174 E. Market St. in downtown Sandusky near Value City Furniture. It was formerly located at the Perkins Plaza by Kroger. Regarding the latest move, "I wanted to be closer to home," said Clinton, who lives downtown. "There are a lot of great things downtown, and it brings a lot of tourists here, especially in the summertime. And it's great for locals who don't want to travel too far away from their homes." The new shop also presents fresh opportunities for Zari's. Most notably, rooms in the back provide a complete salon experience. "We have a hairstylist and a barber now," Clinton said. Like before, Zari's specializes in fashion. The downtown shop sells weaves, wigs, hair bundles, lashes, clothing — like dresses, jeans, skirts, pants and more — accessories, purses, jewelry along with many other items. "As far as my bundles, I have 15A — the best hair you can get — but I also have 9A," Clinton said. "It comes at a good price, and I offer a wide selection." Clinton welcomes customers inside her new shop. She's open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. "Come check it and see if you can find something," Clinton said. What's in a name? Regarding the name Zari's, Clinton provided some insight. "That's my grandson, Zari," Clinton said. "I wanted to name the shop after him."
