2 arrested for June homicide

SANDUSKY — Two people accused of having roles in a June 4 homicide in Sandusky have been arrested. Claudiairuss Sitgraves, 35, from Chicago, is facing two counts of complicity to murder, two counts of aggravated riot, two counts of involuntary manslaughter, improperly handling a firearm into a habitation or school and complicity to felonious assault. All of the charges are felonies. Dushan Moore, 29, also from Chicago, is facing two counts of murder, one count of felonious assault, two counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of aggravated riot and one count of improperly handling a firearm into a habitation or school. He was arrested in Dade County, Florida and held for extradition. Erie County deputies brought him back to Ohio on Tuesday. Sitgraves and Moore are accused of being involved in the June 4 shooting of two men in the 1200 block of Cleveland Road (U.S. 6), according to the indictments. One of the victims, a 28-year-old male identified only as J.L. in the indictment, died as a result of his injuries, according to Sandusky police Chief Jared Oliver. Sandusky police have not released the man's name due to Ohio's adoption of Marsy's Law, a broad package of victim's rights protections. As part of the law, police must assume that incapacitated people, including deceased individuals, are invoking their victim's rights, which includes having their names redacted from police reports. Both Sitgraves' and Moore's indictments were filed on July 24, according to court records. Sitgraves was arrested Monday and Moore was arrested Tuesday. Sitgraves' bond is set at $250,000. If released on bond, he will be placed on electronic monitoring. Moore also has a $250,000 bond and would be subject to electronic monitoring if released. Two previous arrests Police had already arrested two others for their alleged involvement in the case. Kevin D. Sitgraves, Jr., 30, 600 block McDonough St., who has been in jail since June 6, is charged with: • Complicity to murder • Two counts of involuntary manslaughter • Two counts of complicity to felonious assault • Two counts of aggravated riot • Tampering with evidence • Having weapons while under disability • Obstructing justice • Improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or a school safety zone All 11 charges are felonies. Tiffany L. Alexander, 34, 600 block McDonough St., who was arrested July 26, is charged with two counts of complicity to having weapons while under disability, both of which are felonies. A second indictment filed against Alexander charges her with obstruction of justice and complicity to tampering with evidence, both of which are felonies. Alexander's bond was set at $40,000, which was posted on Aug. 3, according to court records. She has a pre-trial set for Aug. 29. She is represented by attorney Samuel A.J. Sidoti, according to court documents. Kevin Sitgraves has a $250,000 bond. He has a pre-trial set for Aug. 22. Court records do not indicate who his attorney is. Claudiairuss Sitgraves has a pre-trial scheduled for Sept. 12. Court records do not indicate who his attorney is. Court records show neither Moore's next court date nor his attorney. It is possible that the next appearance would be an arraignment as a plea form has not been filed with the clerk as of late Wednesday.
