Campus notes: Findlay, Columbus State Community College

COLUMBUS • Huron resident Jacob Lamb graduated from Columbus State Community College in May. • Christina Aldrich of Fremont and Raven Emerick of Norwalk qualified for Columbus State Community College's 2023 spring semester dean's list. To be on the dean's list, a student must achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher and be enrolled for six or more credit hours. FINDLAY Dozens of area University of Findlay students made the spring dean's list. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Ridge Roshong, of Huron, was among the 445 inductees of the University of Kentucky's chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society during the spring 2023 semester. The spring induction class is the largest in the university's chapter history. Alpha Lambda Delta offers scholarship opportunities to its members, and our chapter has had several recipients of the Jo Anne J. Trow Scholarship for academic excellence, the James G. Stemler Study Abroad award and the Graduate Fellowship. The chapter has won several recent recognitions as well for membership growth. The Alpha Lambda Delta chapter has several meetings a semester which include information sessions on leadership, scholarship and service opportunities. SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. Slippery Rock University students Karli Hacker of Monroeville and McKinley Shreve of Vermilion were on the dean's list for the spring 2023 semester. The dean's list consists of undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits. WHITEWATER, Wis. Hunter Hayberger, from Sandusky, made the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's dean's list for the 2023 spring semester. These students have demonstrated their academic abilities by receiving a 3.4 GPA or above in a single semester.
