Sanduskian valued for his efforts

SANDUSKY — A lifelong Sandusky resident who's volunteered countless hours in the community and surrounding areas received some high praise. Todd Kreimes, who works at Chemetall BASF — the largest chemical company in the world — recently obtained its highest honor. The company's coatings division is a global leader in automotive and military manufacturing applications. Executives presented Kreimes with the company's Epic Award. Kreimes "has worked in the chemical industry all his life and deserved this award for his outstanding efforts," company district manager JJ Cosentino said. "Todd is a selfless man who puts others first and goes out of his way to help others," said Cosentino, noting Kreimes serves the northeast Ohio area, including Sandusky. Cosentino continued: "Todd earned this award for going above and beyond the scope of his duties at work, spending hours with customers and helping other employees. He often spends full days at local original equipment manufacturer automotive plants around the Sandusky area, helping them grow and stay in business. He has done all of this while also volunteering most of his personal time to Sandusky education board, the local football team and various other community organizations."
