Lange Trust brings music to pier

SANDUSKY — More music is coming to the Jackson Street Pier this summer. The Lange Trust of the Sandusky Library recently announced the dates and acts of its free four-date summer concert series. The concerts will be hosted at Jackson Street Pier in the city's downtown and are free to all Erie County residents. Here is a lineup of shows and who will be performing: • June 19 — Shining Star: A tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire • July 28 — Red Hot Chili Pipers, a Scottish band that fuses rock and traditional Scottish bagpipes. • Aug. 10 — Rodney Marsalis and the Philidelphia Big Brass Band, 11 musicians who bring real New Orleans jazz • Sept. 8 — Hit Men of Country, a group of five musicians who have traveled and recorded with famous country musicians "The Lange Trust is looking forward to another successful summer concert series," trust chairwoman Sarah Prout said. The Lange Trust concerts are all at 7:30 p.m. Attendees should bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. People can call 419-625-3834 for more information. The Lange Trust series of shows is hosted in addition to the Party at the Pier concert series, which is bringing eight events to the Jackson Street Pier this summer: June 29, July 6, July 13, July 20, Aug. 3, Aug. 17, Aug. 24 and Aug. 31.
