UPDATE: Bellevue teen found safe

Update 11 a.m. May 18 Dominic Oakes has been located, Bellevue police announced online Wednesday evening. The department said that the 13-year-old Bellevue boy was safe, but did not say where he was located. Police said they would release more details soon. Click here to read the full update. Original post, 10 p.m. May 3 BELLEVUE — The whereabouts of a Bellevue teenager who vanished a month ago are still undetermined. Dominic Oakes, 13, was last seen on April 4 at a business in the 200 block of Castalia St. in Bellevue. His stepmother reported him missing, according to Det. Sgt. Todd Trego of the Bellevue Police Department. Oakes was reported missing on March 31 and then located at a friend's house the next day, Trego said. Oakes went missing a second time on April 4. A post to the social media group "Where is Dominic Oakes" states an anonymous donor is "offering a $10,000 reward for the return or information leading to the return of Dominic Oakes." "As with any juvenile who goes missing, he gets entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing/endangered juvenile," Trego said. "At this time, there is no evidence of foul play and it is believed he is a runaway." Police are investigating the possibility that Oakes is not in the Bellevue area. "We are investigating all possibilities regarding his whereabouts," Trego said. Police said anyone who is harboring Oakes could be charged with a crime such as interference with custody or obstructing, but that any determination of charges would rest with the prosecutor. Oakes has brown hair and brown eyes. He is five feet six inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, dark blue jeans and black shoes.
