RECURRING EVENTS SANDUSKY • 3rd Annual Downtown Sandusky Restaurant Week: People can support downtown Sandusky eateries during this event, between Friday, March 3 and Sunday, March 12. Customers can try a new spot or get a good deal. Participating restaurants will also be raising money for local food pantry OHgo. • Bingo Night: Enjoy beer, friends and exciting bingo at the Noble Crafts Bar and Bottle Shop, 127, E. Market St., every Sunday from 5-7 p.m. Participants can win cash prizes. Entry card is $10 and each subsequent card is $5. All proceeds of Bingo Night benefit the Sandusky Children's Museum, also located inside the Marketplace Downtown complex. PORT CLINTON • Story Time: Bring your little ones out to the Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison St., every Tuesday for some stories and songs. HURON • Osborn MetroPark parkrun: "Parkrun" is a timed 5k walk/jog/run happening every Saturday at 9 a.m. at Osborn MetroPark, 3910 Perkins Ave. The event is free and open to all ages; people are welcome to bring their strollers or dogs. Registration is required and can be done at parkrun.us/register/. TODAY PUT-IN-BAY • Leather stamping workshop: Participants can visit the Erie Islands Library, 281 Concord Ave., Put-in-Bay, from 5-6:30 p.m. for a leather stamping workshop. People can choose a coaster, bookmark or keychain to stamp a beautiful design on. Materials are provided, but people are encouraged to bring hammers as the library only has a limited number of them. SANDUSKY • The Women Who Built Hollywood: Join a presentation with historian Annette Bochenek on the role of women in the early days of the film industry. The presentation is 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Sandusky Library. FRIDAY SANDUSKY • An Evening with Danny Trejo: The actor is stopping in Sandusky to talk about his memoir, "TREJO: MY LIFE OF CRIME, REDEMPTION AND HOLLYWOOD," with the event starting at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at the Sandusky High School auditorium, 2130 Hayes Ave. Tickets are required and are only available to Erie County residents. People can apply to obtain two free tickets by visiting https://dannytrejolange.eventbrite.com. SATURDAY HURON • An Irish Rambling House: Celebrating St. Patrick: People can listen to a fusion of Celtic and American folk music and dance during this show at Sawmill Creek by Cedar Point Resorts, 400 Sawmill Creek Drive, at 7:30 p.m. The show is hosted by the Firelands Symphony Orchestra and tickets are $25 on a first come, first served basis. Student tickets are free. SANDUSKY • East Side Story: 1950's Murder Mystery Dinner: This dinner theater, starting at 6 p.m. at the Ten Fifty Eight Event Center, 1058 Cleveland Road W., is sponsored by the Erie County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. Tickets are $50 each or two for $90. There will also be a silent auction, raffles and cash bar. • Free Family Movie; "Minions: The Rise of Gru": Families are welcome to attend the screening of the movie, rated PG, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Sandusky Library, 114 W. Adams St. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Snacks, drinks and blankets are welcome. • Women's Maritime Service in WWII, with Molly Sampson: This presentation focuses on the service of the nearly 127,000 women who enlisted in the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard during WWII and served a critical role in the war effort, as did women in civilian roles. The presentation will be from 9-10 a.m. at the Maritime Museum of Sandusky, 125 Meigs St. Coffee and light refreshments will be proved. PERKINS TWP. • Sensory Friendly Movie: "The Amazing Maurice": The Erie County Board of Developmental Disabilities is hosting a sensory friendly screenings of the movie starting at 10 a.m. at Cinemark Stadium, 4314 Milan Road (U.S. 250). Sensory friendly screenings are adapted to those with different sensory needs. People can call 419-626-0208 to reserve their seats, and there is no cost. BERLIN HEIGHTS • Mario Day Celebration: Celebrate everyone's favorite plumber with a Mario Kart tournament from 1-2 p.m. at the Hinman Community Room of the Berlin Public Library, 4 E. Main St. Crafts and snacks will be available and there's a chance to win a trophy. PUT-IN-BAY • Preschool Story Time: Join library staff for a half hour of stories, rhymes and crafts from 10:30-11 a.m. at the Erie Islands Library, 281 Concord Ave. The event is intended for children ages 0-5, but other ages are welcome to attend. MILAN • Rock n' Role: This event for kids 1st through 5th grade, hosted by the Norwalk Arts Center at the Milan Public Library (19 E. Church St.) explores three different facets of art in this exciting program. There will be rock painting, a jam session with various instruments and a simple lesson in rock dance choreography. Registration is required by contacting the library at 419-499-4117. SUNDAY MILAN • Community Day: People can celebrate Second Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. at the Milan Museum, 10 Edison Drive. There will be a suncatcher craft and a tour of the museum, all at no charge. SANDUSKY • Funday Sunday: Bring your family to a fun afternoon of activities, crafts and a puppet show at 1 p.m. at the Maritime Museum of Sandusky, 125 Meigs St. MONDAY MILAN • Teen Taco Cord Holders: Carrying around loose charging cords or wired earbuds? Young adults can go to the Milan Public Library, 19 E. Church St. from 6-7 p.m. to craft taco-shaped cord holders to solve that problem. Ages 11-18 are welcome and registration is required by calling 419-499-4117. TUESDAY SANDUSKY • Babies and Books: Winter/Spring Session 2: Join this storytime for ages birth through 18 months from 10:15-10:45 a.m. at the Sandusky Library, 114 W. Adams St. There will be 15 minutes of books, bounces and songs followed by 15 minutes of play and story time. • Tula Vera/iLL Anatomy/Bloodhounds: These bands will be performing live at Halo Live/Mohawk Studio, 805 Wayne St. Come for the spooky sounds of New Jersey's Tula Vera, the indie/emo hits of Cleveland's Bloodhounds and the grunge "power trio" that's iLL Anatomy. The performances are for those 18 and older and is BYOB for those 21 and up. There will be a $5 donation. WEDNESDAY MARBLEHEAD • Deaf History Month: Signing Workshop: Professional American Sign Language interpreter Paula Young will be at the Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library, 710 W. Main St., from 6-7 p.m. to teach attendees some basic ASL signs and explain aspects of deaf culture and history for Deaf History Month. No registration required.
