Blue Streaks put 2 on SBC first team

Sandusky seniors De'Mar Moore and Daylen Green were two of five unanimous first-team picks on the All-SBC Lake Division boys basketball team announced Monday. Moore and Green led the Blue Streaks to a 21-1 regular season and Sandusky will tip off tournament play this week ranked No. 4 in the state in Division II. Green is third in the Lake in scoring with 18.6 points per game. Moore is fourth in scoring (15.4) and first in assists (7.4) and steals (3.4). Tiffin Columbian senior Logan Beaston was named Most Valuable Player in the Lake. Other unanimous Lake picks were Bellevue's Tyler Ray and Perkins' Jayden Rowe. Ray averages 13.2 points per game while Rowe averages 15 points and eight rebounds. Clyde sophomore Brayden Olson, who leads the Lake in scoring with 21 points per game, rounded out the first team. In the Bay Division, Max Dawson from league champion Willard was named MVP. The high-scoring junior averages 24.7 points per game and scored 34 in a win last Friday against Huron that clinched the outright league title for the Crimson Flashes. Huron senior Dylan Hohler, Port Clinton senior Adam Thorbahn and Oak Harbor sophomore Ethan Stokes were other unanimous first-team selections. Willard's Cam Robinson rounded out the Bay's five-player first team. In the River Division, Hopewell-Loudon's Evan Kreais was named player of the year. Danbury's Blake Barker was a unanimous first-team selection.
