Arts in the Park calls for artists

PORT CLINTON — The Port Clinton Artists' Club will celebrate its 65th art festival Aug. 5-6 at Lakeview Park in Port Clinton. "As one of the longest-running festivals in Ohio, it has an excellent reputation because of the talented vendors and terrific volunteers that make it all happen," according to an organizational statement. The club encourages fine artists and crafters to join us for this weekend of art. Artists submitting an application by March 1 can recieve a discount of $10 off of the application fee. Applications can be downloaded at portclintonartistsclub.com. "The art club anticipates that more than 6,000 people will attend Arts in the Park, which is along the Lake Erie shore in Port Clinton," it read. "Home to perch and walleye fishing, a strong art presence, excellent restaurants/hotels, the Marblehead and Port Clinton lighthouses that thousands of aficionados visit each year: It's why people want to visit the area, and come back to Arts in the Park every year.
