SANDUSKY — The Sandusky Library, 114 W. Adams St., has released its list of February programming for all. Note that the library will be closed on Feb. 20 in observance of Presidents Day. For adult programming, patrons can register by heading to sanduskylib.org and clicking on the library's event calendar. Recurring events • Babies and Books: This storytime is for babies from birth to 18 months at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesdays. • Toddler Tales: This storytime is for kids between 18 months and 3 years at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesdays. • Story Stop: This storytime is for kids between 3 and 6 and includes rhymes, songs and more. Sessions are at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays. • Play Learn Grow: Kids from birth to 3 can play with toys at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesdays. • Tween Tuesdays: Kids between 8 and 12 can enjoy a fun activity from 3-4 p.m. on Tuesdays. • Take and Makeup - Valentine's Day: Pick up take-and-make crafts between Feb. 6-14. • Mini Art Show Canvas Pick Up: Kids can pick up a mini canvas between Feb. 15-28 for the second annual Mini Art Show. Canvases must be returned by 8 p.m. on March 1. • Leap in Science Week — COSI Connects Kit Gateway: The library is giving away COSI Connects Nature Kits from Feb. 21-25 while supplies last. Feb. 11 • Free Family Movies — Lyle Lyle Crocodile: Families can enjoy a free showing of "Lyle Lyle Crocodile" at 2:30 p.m. Participants can bring snacks and blankets. Feb. 13 • Read and Play: Kids drop in and look at different books, activities, crafts and more at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 15 • Games, Puzzles and Conversation: Join in a fun activity with others at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 16 • Teen Hangout —Cookies, Canvas and Cocoa: Partake in crafts and spend time with others at 3 p.m. Feb. 17 • Cook Up a Story: This cooking-based storytime is for kids 3 and older at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 18 • Book Discussion: Feb. 18 is Toni Morrison Day and celebrate with the library. This month's read is "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison, and the discussion is at 1 p.m. • Celebrating George Washington Carver: Learn more about George Washington Carver at 2:30 p.m. through stories, crafts and more. Please note that real peanuts will be used. Feb. 21 • Black Men in Blue - The Civil War, Ohioans and the 27th United States Colored Troops: Historian and Author Dr. Kelly Mezurek is presenting about the Ohio Black community's response to the Civil War, with special attention given to Sanduskians involved. The presentation is at noon. Feb. 22 • Writers Unite: The library's writing club is meeting at 5 p.m. Feb. 23 • Basic Computer Skills: Learn different software skills at 2:30 p.m. with Kayla Cicola. Feb. 25 • Winter Drop-in and Play: Kids from birth to 3 years old can stop by and play from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 27 • The 1619 Project: Learn more about the "1619 Project" and the lasting impact of slavery with Dr. Byron Craig and Sandy Zagarell at 6 p.m.
