Fresh on the scene: PureClean Sandusky

SANDUSKY — A new business promises to get any space neat and orderly while using the most harmless ingredients imaginable. PureClean Sandusky represents the latest venture undertaken by Pari Zahniser, who launched her new Sandusky-based company about a month ago. "It provides cleaning services for your home that makes your space clean, but I also want to educate people that you can use natural, non-toxic products, which is what I do and what PureClean is all about," Zahniser said. A Sandusky resident, Zahniser received inspiration for starting a cleaning-based business as she's renovating her own local Airbnb rental property. She also enjoys tidying up, which, she said, can lead to many positive outcomes. "When you have a clean space, it helps your mental health," Zahniser said. "There's nothing like a clean, good-smelling place." What separates PureClean from other businesses revolves around the products Zahniser uses. She creates the mixtures for each cleaning product herself. "They're all plant-based products," said Zahniser, a 2014 Sandusky High School graduate. "I use vinegar, baking soda and rubbing alcohol for certain things, but my main product is Dr. Bronner's." Zahniser then explained why she diverted from using name-brand products. "I would get dizzy and have to walk out of the room I was cleaning," Zahniser said. Oftentimes, using readily available products — like Lysol disinfectant or Clorox bleach — individually or mixed together "can create a chemical reaction that is not good for you to inhale," she added. "But my products are good for your long-term health," Zahniser added. "When you use non-natural products, they can always cause health problems in the future. With our services, people won't have to worry about that because we use all-natural products." Zahniser brought on a longtime friend, Logan Laser, a 2014 Perkins High School friend, to assist her. "Cleaning has always been a hobby of mine, and I've been doing it for years," Laser said. "I enjoy it and love helping people in the process." PureClean services the greater Sandusky area. "After I provide a service, my clients can expect a clean space. You are not going to be dizzy from what I use. My products don't leave a very strong smell. It's a light scent. I will provide a great cleaning service with clean products safe for you, your family and your pets."
