A voice '4' the victims

Voices4Victims is a group of local moms, dads, sons and daughters living in northern Ohio that have seen an increase in crimes against children and could not silently stand by while it happens. We strive to be the voice for children that have survived abuse and to actively work toward the prevention of abuse through our educational social media posts. When a parent/guardian reaches out to us, we investigate to learn the facts. We verify what has happened, who was involved and make sure the proper authorities have been notified. We monitor court dockets and bring awareness to the public about convicted pedophiles and child abusers in our communities. We meet and support the survivors and their family throughout the legal process. We make sure they know they are not alone and that they are important, precious and loved. All of us advocates representing Voices4Victims volunteer their time, support and love without hesitation. We take late-night calls when the survivors/families can't sleep and need to talk, go to meetings when they need their hand held or want a hug. We sit in courtrooms to make sure they do not have to endure further abuse from their abusers or the abusers' families. We pray, send good thoughts and lose sleep because we sincerely care. At Voices4Victims, we strive to be the voice for child abuse survivors. We listen to them, we believe them, and we support them. No child should ever be abused but when it happens. No child should ever stand alone. Helping children heal and protecting children through educating our communities is solely why we do what we do. If we help one child find their voice and heal, if our public awareness post prevents one beautiful child from being abused, we have been successful. We at Voices4Victims get involved in the community by setting up a table at different events throughout the area to share information about our group and about child abuse and human trafficking. Some of the local events we have been at include The Wightman-Wieber Safety Fair and Kids Fest, the July 4th Stars and Stripes Festival and Touch-a-Truck. Each year, we do our annual Easter basket drive. We collect donations and Easter baskets that we donate to Victory Kitchen for its Easter basket drive. We do our annual toy drive box drop off and event. We drop off toy drive boxes throughout different businesses throughout Erie, Huron, Sandusky and Ottawa counties. We do a toy drive event each year at the Rockin' Horse Saloon with a live band and toy drop-off. All toys collected in each county stay in that county and either go to a childrens services or CASA organization. We are on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok, where you can follow us.
