Chamber inducts 3 business leaders

HURON TWP. — Three locals responsible for "exemplary business leadership careers" made up the 2022 class for the Erie County Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame. The honorees who received induction are: • Bryan Huntley, owner of Peerless Stove and Manufacturing; He was introduced by his brother Brad Huntley. • Dick Kinzel, former CEO of Cedar Fair Entertainment Co.; He was introduced by Duff Milkie, who considers Kinzel a mentor. • George Sortino, owner of Sortino Management, Thirsty Pony and S&S Realty; He was introduced by his son, Mike Sortino. A recognition ceremony took place on Dec. 8 at Kalahari Resorts and Convention Center in Sandusky. "A rigorous process is used each year to elect selected business leaders based on their successful careers at their respective organizations who are making outstanding contributions to the community in which they reside and inspiring a new generation of business leaders," according to the chamber. Since its founding in 1899, the chamber, a nonprofit, advocates "for economic prosperity by uniting business and community leaders in the area with a strong emphasis on the provision of services and promotion of its members," an organizational statement reads.
