New market caters to youth

PLYMOUTH — A new event wants to spark an entrepreneurial spirit with kids. In collaboration with the Plymouth Area Historical Society, Village Roots — a monthly marketplace filled with quality, curated products made by Ohio Artisans — is hosting its first Young Entrepreneurs Market. It'll take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 12 at Village Roots' base, 11 E. Main St., Plymouth. "We love supporting young business-minded souls and thought it would be fun to give them a space to showcase their work," according to an organizational statement. "These kids will be featuring their talents in a variety of handmade goods, arts, crafts, food, paintings, accessories, pet care and more." Registration is limited to those between the ages of 8 and 17. There is a fee to register, and space is limited. All items up for sale must be handmade.
