Let's go: Halloween events, trick-or-treat times

Halloween events Milan • Halloween Parade: 4 p.m. Sunday through the Village Square area The parade will start at the intersection of North Main and Front streets. It should last about 20 minutes. The Edison High School band will be in the parking lot behind the drive-thru. Fire apparatus will be on North Main Street. The grand marshal, John Lewis, and Milan Melon Fest queen will be in attendance. Kids can participate and are encouraged to dress up in costumes. The parade will end on Oak Street. There will then be a costume contest at 6 p.m. at Edison Elementary School. Norwalk • City of Norwalk Halloween Parade: Saturday Line up begins at 1:30 p.m. at Main Street School, and the parade starts at 2 p.m. at Suhr Park. Stick around for the merchant trick-or-treat event in downtown. For the parade, which is also open to dogs, people can dress up alone or with their pets. Costume judging will take place at Main Street School prior to the parade's start. Winners will be announced at the end of the parade. Trick or treat will follow. Oak Harbor • Downtown trick or treat 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday Port Clinton • Downtown trick or treat 1-4 p.m. Saturday All young ghosts and goblins are invited to downtown Port Clinton for some trick-or-treating and fun. Look for balloons for participating businesses. Sandusky • 16th-annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat event: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday throughout downtown It's open to those between pre-K and in sixth grade; Participating downtown merchants will have a bright green and orange flier in their storefronts. The pumpkin drop will happen at noon, and the cruise on the Goodtime will be at 1 p.m. • Harvest Trunk-or-Treat: 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Sandusky High School's back parking lot, 2130 Hayes Ave. (Ohio 4) It's free for all ages, there will be lots of candy and prizes for the best costume and decorated car.
