PERKINS TWP. — Unless something drastic happens, shoppers can expect Ross Dress for Less at Sandusky Mall to open soon. "I just checked with our leasing executive who negotiated the deal: He believes Ross is tentatively planning on an October opening," mall spokesman Joe Bell said. In a December Register article, Bell originally said the store would open by this past July. The store, however, ran into some issues, which caused a delay. "Unfortunately, construction contractors have been struggling for over a year with supply chain delays," Bell said. "Some fixtures and other materials have been in short supply." Located between T.J. Maxx and Five Below, this marks the first brick-and-mortar location for Ross in Sandusky. "All of these stores ( T.J. Maxx, Ross and Five Below) are part of redeveloped space that used to house a Macy's department store," Bell said. Ross describes itself as a business "bringing our customers a constant stream of high-quality department and specialty store brands at extraordinary savings while providing an easy, fun and organized shopping experience," its website read.
