Report: Couple had sex at Cedar Point

SANDUSKY — Two people are in hot water after their alleged lewd actions at Cedar Point were witnessed by children. Police were called to the Giant Wheel just after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday for a report of two people having sex. A 32-year-old Miamisburg, Ohio, woman and a 23-year-old Florida man allegedly had sexual relations on one of the park's rides, according to a Sandusky police report. The act was purportedly witnessed by two women and two children. When confronted by police, the couple denied they were engaging in intercourse. The woman claimed she dropped a pack of cigarettes, and when she bent over to retrieve them, the man helped her, the report states. The group of females who witnessed the alleged sex act described what happened to police in detail, according to the report. One of the children told an officer she was traumatized by what she witnessed. The officer then spoke with the couple again and they eventually admitted they were engaged in sex, the report states. The two were arrested for public indecency and transported to Erie County Jail. Because two of the witnesses were minors, the couple's charges were enhanced to first-degree misdemeanors. As of Tuesday morning, neither the man nor the woman is incarcerated at the jail.
