Perkins grad 'never met a stranger'

PERKINS TWP. — A 2015 Perkins High School graduate will be remembered for his outgoing personality, adventurous spirit and never-ending kindness. Trevor Reiderman, 25, died unexpectedly Monday in Cleveland. Reiderman, who was known as "Trizzy," was born Nov. 13, 1996, in Sandusky, to Kimberlee (Cok) Buss and Steve Reiderman. "Trevor never met a stranger," his obituary states. "He was known for making friends from coast to coast. No one ever knew where he was living. He was always so kind to the underdogs. "He had a way of making every person feel like they had a place and belonged. The first thing out of anyone's mouth in attempts to describe Trevor is that he was so full of life." Reiderman was a "free spirit with a heart of gold," whose "energy was so electric and intoxicating, everyone was instantly drawn to him," according to his obituary. One of Reiderman's hobbies was shopping at Goodwill and he "always came home with some treasure." Additionally, Reiderman enjoyed Cleveland's sports teams, especially the Cleveland Browns. It wasn't unusual for Reiderman to go on spontaneous adventures, which took him to interesting places. "Trevor knew that he only had so many grains of sand in his hourglass so that's why he lived life as fully as he did," his obituary says. "Trevor booked one-way flights to islands with no money or no way home. He snuck into unbelievable seats at concerts of performers whose music inspired him. "Trevor chased after life and let the details work themselves out." Reiderman could be counted on for laughs and was always thoughtful. "He was always jumping off tables or falling asleep in attempts to make everyone around him laugh. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone and do anything for his family. "We can only think that God's reasoning for taking him is because he had a huge party to throw in heaven and what better person to be at the center of it all. Rest in peace to the forever life of the party, and as Trev would say 'Let's rage,'" his obituary states. Reiderman is survived by his parents; three siblings, Morgan and Merin Reiderman of Bowling Green and Kane Reiderman of Attica; three stepsiblings, Evan, Claire and Hannah Buss of Willard; and many more loved ones. Loved ones share memories This week, dozens of Reiderman's loved ones paid tribute to their family member, friend and classmate online through posts and photos. "Trev, you were my very first friend, role model and protector," his sister Morgan wrote Monday. "This world lost the most beautiful, goofy, loving, free soul today. Your life was too short but you definitely lived it to the fullest. You lit up every room you walked in and you truly never knew a stranger. I'll miss you forever, my sweet big brother." "I will take all the music we sang, songs we wrote, your beautiful warm light and irreplaceable memory everyday, love," Stephanie Baptista said. "I hope now you feel everything you gave to us. Your love was boundless, and soul limitless. We will never be the same; for better and for worse, I love you, we love you." "It takes a special kind of person to be the heart and soul of every team, and to radiate positivity like you did," said Perkins classmate Dalton Wessels, who posted photos from their baseball days. "I was looking forward to being able to see you again to catch up in a couple of weeks. I will always be missing you man. Thank you for being a great friend, third base is always yours in my eyes." "I guarantee that we will never have the opportunity to meet anyone quite like Trevor Reiderman," Colton Slaven wrote. "Where every car ride is a concert and every game is Game 7. "My heart hurts and my mind races thinking about all the times I had with you my friend. Memories I'll treasure forever. Fly high Trevor, and I'll see you again. Love and miss you Trizzy." Visitation will be from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31 at Celeryville Christian Reformed Church, 4180 Ohio 103, Willard. Reiderman's funeral will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the "Trevor Reiderman Fund" at Sutton Bank.
