Cedar Point to 'take a bath' in 2023

SANDUSKY — New posters at Cedar Point drop some hints on what the new building being constructed on the former site of Wicked Twister may look like in 2023. Of course, the park has not made any official announcements or acknowledgements that the new construction is a building, but it is pretty obvious peaking over or through the wall. Our last update on the construction work going on at Cedar Point included a potential new hint that we could be seeing a new ride in 2023 in addition to the new building. To date, no new site progress has been seen to indicate what could be coming, though there is a new off-site fenced area waiting for something. The new posters installed this week definitely focus more intently on the new building and what all can be expected: • The first poster shows a historic image of the Cedar Point Bath House building. Something like this is greatly needed with such a heavy focus of the park on Cedar Point Beach. It would be nice to have a restroom and place to change rather than having to go inside Hotel Breakers. • The second poster highlights just how popular the Cedar Point boardwalk was even when guests wore full suits and dresses. • A third poster highlights families having fun on the beach and the phrase "Coming Soon: More sand, sun and traditional summer fun." • The fourth new poster shows a historic image of the beachfront dining hall. As the food blog of Cedar Point, and all Cedar Fair-owned properties, the potential for dining facilities inside the new building is really exciting for us. The park has made no shortage of investments into the food and beverage department ever since our website, CPFoodBlog.com, was conceived. So the new beachfront building provides for some interesting new expansions to dining options at the park. • The last new poster installed is a historic general overview of the Cedar Point peninsula, again showing what used to be along the beach and potential for the future addition. While times are always changing, we love how the park is investing into its historic roots because, after all, long before there were roller coasters, it was the sand that attracted the guests. For that, we can all be thankful that after 150 years, we get the best of both worlds as a world-class amusement park and a beautiful natural setting.
