HURON — Working in the beauty business for more than a decade now, Stephanie Gill knows how to take care of people. And, to best serve clients, new and existing, she's branched out on her own by opening a new studio in Huron. Gill recently debuted Mae Aesthetics, 202 Cleveland Road W., beside the Huron Chamber of Commerce. It's also right across from Huron's clock tower. "I like to call it a local, relaxing, self-care place," said Gill, noting the "Mae" part of the business branding derives from her middle name. The 2010 Edison High School graduate broke into the industry a year later, employed at some of the area's most prestigious and popular salons since then. But, no matter where she served clients, "I've always focused on aesthetics," said Gill, who, made the same promise for herself at Mae Aesthetics, which offers lash extensions; lash lifts and tints; eyebrow waxing; and tinting and a variety of facial treatments. Gill's new studio embodies her personality: a laid-back atmosphere to comfort her clients. "My whole goal is just to make them feel better about themselves," said Gill, a Sandusky resident who grew up in Huron.
