Drivabl makes Sandusky Bay accessible

SANDUSKY — For those who enjoy boating but don't have easy access to a personal watercraft, there's a new business recently washing ashore satisfying those very desires. Drivabl Lux Watercrafts — located just outside the main entrance of Battery Park Marina in Sandusky — rents out Jet Ski-type boats, namely Sea-Doos, seven days a week. These Sea-Doos can traverse the water at 50 mph. "Being right here, in Sandusky Bay, is perfect," Drivabl co-owner Lerah Evans said. He runs the company with Curtis Moore. "You can go to the (Cedar Point) causeway, and the water is just as smooth as it is here at the marina." No matter the boater's experience, anyone older than 18 can hop on one and zip across this portion of Lake Erie, Evans said. "We look forward to being in Sandusky and being part of this community," Evans said. "We are in it for the long haul and not just one season." Going forward, starting in 2023, Evans wants to expand his business, providing Yamaha WaveRunners, jetpacks, hoverboards and other amenities. "We are just doing what we can to help people best enjoy the area," said Evans, who said people can search the business online for more details, including pricing and deals. "It's a great water community, and it's just another way people can enjoy it."
