Cedar Point hints at new ride

New signs installed on the fence surrounding the former Wicked Twister site at Cedar Point hint at a new ride coming in 2023. On Wednesday during our site visit, the fence had stenciled onto the wood in several locations some vintage CP 1870 logos as well as a large logo of the G.A. Boeckling Company, a nod to one of the early owners of Cedar Point. On Thursday it was discovered that new signs had been installed along the wall. The first shows "We're making some grand changes" with a vintage folder along the Cedar Point beach. The next poster states "Ride the WindSeeker" yet shows a photo of the Cedar Point Sea Swing from circa 1914 to the 1930s. Another photo shows a picture of the beach with the phrases "Pardon our sand" and "We're building a better boardwalk." The Cedar Point Giant Ferris gets a nostalgic 50th anniversary poster on the wall. A fifth new poster shows another vintage photo of the Cedar Point beach with "Coming Soon" and Lakeside views, Boardwalk news." The most interesting poster of the bunch shows up on the Troika poster. The sign states "More Fun. Fun. Fun joins Troika, Troika, Troika in 2023." While Cedar Point has yet to announce what is happening on the other side of the wall, we were able to get a first-hand look with views from on top of the Giant Wheel, which shows footers being poured. Since original publication, the site has developed further with more walls and footers being poured and formed around the site. Based on the current configuration, all clues point to a new building being constructed on the former site of Wicked Twister. However, the new Troika sign leads us to believe that some of the surrounding area might also get a new attraction or two.
