Special screenings at Strickfaden Park

PERKINS TWP. — Free movie nights at Strickfaden Park are back for the sixth summer season of outdoor showings. Beginning tonight, they'll begin playing right around 8 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Perkins Township green space, on Bell Avenue between Campbell Street and Columbus Avenue. Officials intend to screen many family-friendly flicks, including "Luca," the first movie for 2022. This showing tonight also features a special ice cream social. And, for all events, officials will provide free popcorn and water at every movie throughout the summer. Attendees are urged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to sit on during the movie. "Outdoor activities and events, such as movie nights, are fun for all ages and encourage families to get out of the house, be active, meet old friends or make new friends in the community," said Brad Link, the township's community service coordinator, who's directly supervising league play.
