Business bolsters, beautifies bodies

PERKINS TWP. — Two longtime medical professionals share a single vision with one major goal in mind. "It's been a passion to start an aesthetic and wellness place for the people in our community," Dr. Janice Rice said. "We just want people to feel their best." Rice and her business partner, Amber (Ginty) Keller, co-own Lake Erie Aesthetics & Wellness. They're preparing to open the brick-and-mortar location, at 1522 E. Perkins Ave., in Sandusky beside The Legacy Center. Both invite the community to an open house there, scheduled for 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28. Expected to debut in July, Lake Erie will provide services that promote healthier lifestyles and, in turn, make people feel more vibrant, confident as well as beautiful, the co-owners said. This would include neurotoxin, or wrinkle relaxers; facials; facial fillers; skin care; IV hydration; and life coaching. People can also book free consultations to learn more about these services. Both local residents boast a wealth of experience in the medical field: • Keller, a 2012 Sandusky High School graduate and nurse practitioner, received her certification in family medicine with specialized training in aesthetics and injectables. "I have seven years of nursing experience and plastic and cosmetic surgery. I then found a passion for a less-invasive approach to beauty and overall wellness." • Rice, a 2001 Perkins High School graduate and an emergency medicine physician, received her certification in injectibles about 10 years ago. "I've always had a passion to start an aesthetic and wellness place for those in the community." Each noticed many people traveled to areas in or around Cleveland for these services. Opening Lake Erie filled a great void, they said. "If you take care of yourself, mentally and physically, it will pay off in the end," Keller said. Added Rice: "We have the knowledge and resources to do this. When you revitalize your beauty and your body, you'll revitalize your soul. And we're here to take care of you."
