David J. "Dave" Routsong

SANDUSKY — David J. "Dave" Routsong, 58, of Sandusky, passed away Friday morning, June 3, 2022, at his home. He was born on Aug. 5, 1963, in Sandusky, to Donald and Patricia (Hanlon) Routsong. He graduated in 1981 from Perkins High School and EHOVE where he learned a trade that would lead to a 40-year career as a carpenter — or, as Dave would like to say, he was a "hammer for hire." He took great pride in his skill. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. Above all else, he was a die-hard Browns fan. Dave had a sweet personality, a great smile, and was well-liked by those who knew him. He will be missed. Dave is survived by his brothers, Bill (Pat) of Sandusky and Chris (Judy) of Milan; his sisters, Robin (Joe) Thurm of Exton, Pennsylvania, and Julie Trautman of Milan; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins; and best friend, Ned. He was preceded in death by his parents. It was his wish to be cremated. A private family memorial service will take place.
