SANDUSKY — Cedar Point is hosting a special adults-only, 21 and over, after-hours party starting this weekend. For guests looking for exclusive ride time and something more special after the sun sets, Wild Frontier Nights offers just that. Taking place this Friday and Saturday along with June 10-11, Cedar Point will open the Frontier Town area exclusively for adults in a special after-hours ticketed event. From 9 p.m. until midnight, guests who purchase the private event tickets get access to ride Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Skyhawk, Mine Ride and Wave Swinger. In addition to late-night live entertainment, guests will get to experience an ax-throwing competition and mechanical bull riding. Tickets to the event start at $99.99 and include a souvenir event ticket and cowboy hat. For guests looking to add to the event in the form of food and beverage items, Cedar Point is offering premium tickets at $139.99 to $169.99. Most of the food and beverage items will be exclusive to Wild Frontier Nights. Menu items include a chicken and waffle sandwich, stuffed mac and cheese sliders, cookie dough egg rolls and over-the-top milkshakes. In addition, specialty adult beverages will be served during the event, like The Rambler — Southern Comfort, Peach Schnapps, Blackberry Concentrate, Minute Maid Lemonade — and guests have the option to purchase a special Bourbon Trail Experience. Wild Frontier Nights is a separately ticketed event, so daytime tickets and season passes are not included. Cedar Point closes at 8 p.m. each night of the event and reopens at 9 p.m. for Wild Frontier Nights.
