A royal treat: Try the Loaded Ribbed Crown

Editor's note: Justin Dietz is a Register correspondent representing CPFoodBlog.com and @CPFoodBlog on Twitter. SANDUSKY — Picture it. Your family or friends are walking around Cedar Point this summer, strutting your stuff and feeling like you are on top of the world. Quite literally, you just got off riding Millennium Force and the many other monster roller coasters and attractions throughout Cedar Point and feel like you have wings. After working up an appetite, you have your choice of many menu items from around the park such as create-your-own mac and cheese bowls, hand-breaded chicken tenders, smoked brisket, and the new must-try, Farmhouse Kitchen & Grill. However, what if there was a way to make you feel even more special? Presenting the new secret menu item from Cedar Point's Back Beat Que that you will not want to miss. Ask for it by name, the Loaded Ribbed Crown. The chef takes a full slab of ribs, forms them in the shape of a ring and smokes them to perfection. The space between the ribs is then filled with seasoned fries, mac and cheese, smoked jalapeno sausage, smoked brisket, pickled onions and served with cobs of corn, squares of cornbread and a cup of pickles. Enough to feed four people, the LRC is $79.99. Let me tell you from personal experience, if you do not feel like a king the moment the chef hands you the platter, then I do not know what will. Guests surrounded us asking "what is that," as the presentation was fantastic, and it tasted even better. The pickled onions and new for 2022 bread and butter pickles paired excellently with the variety of meats. The Loaded Ribbed Crown is extremely limited in quantity each day. So make sure to get your request in early before they sell out. After trying the Loaded Ribbed Crown, go ahead and put on that make-believe crown, as you have received king status for the day.
