PREP ROUNDUP: Perkins' Ben Keller throws 8-inning shutout; Bellevue softball clinches SBC Lake title

FREMONT — Ben Keller threw an eight-inning one-hitter to lead Perkins to a 1-0 nonconference baseball win over Fremont Ross on Monday. Keller retired the last 16 Little Giants he faced and had six 1-2-3 innings. Keller struck out four and walked only one. A single by Ross' Brayden Guhn proved to be the home team's only hit. Perkins' Luke Walton walked with two out in the eighth. He advanced to second on an error and scored on Nathan's Majoy's single that proved to be the winning run.
