Don and Vicki (Shortliff) Johnson

Don and Vicki (Shortliff) Johnson, of Huron, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family. The couple got married on April 22, 1972, in Port Clinton. They are the parents of, Christopher Johnson and Cynthia Guyure from Don's previous marriage; and Becky Johnson and Lisa Johnson from Vicki and Don. They have four grandchildren. Don, now retired, worked as an engineer at both The Lewis Research Center in Cleveland and NASA Plum Brook in Sandusky. Vicki also worked at NASA in Sandusky where she caught Don's eye at a work picnic. Don noticed her yellow dress and how beautiful she is. The two met, and the rest is history. She retired to focus on raising a family and tending to the farm. They are extremely hard workers and enjoy maintaining the yard of the storybook farm. It's a little slice of paradise. They are very generous and have hearts of gold. Their hobbies include travel and spending time with their family and friends with no shortage of laughter. Don especially enjoys steam trains and train rides.
