Look at these Birchard library events

The Birchard Libraries of Sandusky County's locations are hosting lots of programs in May between three of its locations. Some programs may require registration. Webster St., in May: Recurring events • Preschool Storytime: Head to the library at 11 a.m. on Thursdays for storytimes, songs and more. • SPARKS - Curious Kids Learn Science: Kids in first through fifth grade can learn about Albert Einstein at 4 p.m. on May 3 and May 12. Patrons can do a magnet experiment, as well. Registration is required. May 9 • Foodies Night: Make a recipe from "The Pioneer Woman Cooks Super Easy'' by Ree Drummond and bring it to the library at 6:30 p.m. This program is for adults. May 23 • Fresh Find Adult Book Chat: Read and discuss "Wish You Were Here" by Jodi Picoult at 7 p.m. May 27 • Hear and Share Book Chat for Seniors: Read and discuss "The Beginnings and Tales of the Erie Islands" by Jessie Martin at 10:30 a.m. at the Gibsonburg Senior Center, 100 Meadow Lane. Happening at the Woodville library, 101 E. Main St., in May: Recurring events • Storytimes: Preschoolers and their caregivers enjoy a storytime at 10 a.m. on Mondays. • Homemade Living: Learn back-to-basic skills at 10 a.m. on May 8 and May 22 on Facebook. • From My Backyard: Learn about living on a farm at 7 p.m. on Mondays starting May 16. The program takes place over Facebook Live. May 2 • Crochet and More: Make a knit, crochet or macrame craft at 6:30 p.m. May 5 • Crochet Basics: Learn a new crochet stitch for the month of May. The monthly program takes place at 7 p.m. on Facebook Live. May 7 • Mother's Day Crafts: Decorate a flower pot for Mother's Day at 10 a.m. at Trailmaker Park, 308 S. Cherry St. Registration is required. May 9 • Butterfly Gardens: Learn to attract butterflies to your garden at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required. May 11 • Woodville Adult Book Club: Read and discuss "The Gruncle" by Steven Rowley at 7 p.m. May 12 • Mushrooming 101: Learn about different mushrooms in Sandusky County at 7 p.m. on Facebook. May 21 • Hula Hoop Fun: Hula hoop with other community members at 10 a.m. Patrons are invited to bring their own hoops or they can borrow one from the library. Happening at the Green Springs library, 217 N Broadway St., in May: Recurring event • Tuesday Evenings at Green Springs Library: Head to the library on Tuesdays for different events. The first event is a book club at 5:30 p.m. on May 10 where community members can discuss "How to Walk Away" by Katherine Center. The second event is a craft night at 5:30 p.m. on May 24.
