100 Women giving back $100

This is a dedicated group of Erie County women who care deeply about the Erie County community. 100+ Women gathers four times a year for a one-hour meeting, and each woman writes a $100 check to the charity that the members have selected. This combined donation of $10,000 (or more) at each meeting makes a real impact, without time-consuming fundraising events and planning. Our mission and our hope is to provide for those in greatest need in Erie County. Since the start-up of 100 Women Who Care in Erie County in Oct. 2016, including the two years of the recent pandemic, this organization has continued to donate, on average, $10,000 to member selected charities in Erie County and our membership has continued to increase. To date, the organization has distributed over $200,000 to local charities. These donations have been awarded to children's programs, food insecurity programs, the arts, animal shelters and social issue programming. We meet the second Thursday in January, April, July and October at the Sandusky Yacht Club. Social time (optional) is 5:30–6:15 p.m. and the regular meeting starting at 6:15-7:15 p.m. 100+ Women Who Care will resume in-person meetings on April 14, 2022, at the Sandusky Yacht Club, unless, for safety reasons, health orders suggest otherwise. 100 Women Who Care is for you if: • You don't have time in your busy life to volunteer but have been wanting to help those in need, and you can commit to one hour every three months; • You are involved with other groups but are interested in meeting other women philanthropists in Erie County, Ohio; • You want 100% of your donations to go directly to a local charity; • You want your $100 donation to become a part of a larger amount of money by joining together with other women thus creating a powerful impact in our local area. Partnering with another person for a $50/meeting is a great way to be involved if the $100 donation does not fit for you. New membership forms are available on our website: 100WomenWhoCareinErieCounty.com. There are no other requirements, invitations or special processes to join 100 Women Who Care in Erie County. You just need the want to contribute to this philanthropic group and the means to contribute $100 every three months.
